Alfajores de Maizena - these lasted a total of 3 minutes at work… Dulce de Leche has a strange affect on my co-workers … They LOVE IT!
So thanks to the “Clumbsy Cookie” for giving me the banana chocolate chip recipe! These cookies turned out suuuuper delicious and the banana in the middle is the best part. Next time I am going to figure out how to put banana in the middle throughout the whole cookie because they spread out quite a bit during baking leaving me only the middle bite as the banana bite - I was longing for more banana bites to be quite honest with you. Guess I will have to make these again !
ok so I have been fighting it for a loooong time… yes I want to blog, yes I like to cook, why wouldn’t I put the two together?! Well - I will tell ya - I feel like if I have a blog and :::If:::: I join the Daring Bakers, that there will now be this “pressure” to bake and blog. Will I like that? At first I thought … no. But now I am thinking it will be good motivation to get my blog going! So I am going to post EVERYTHING - from the burned to the bodacious, no matter what its getting put in here. I have onnnne tiny little incie wincy problem- I am not good with recipes. I just go with my own instincts most of the time sooo I will try my best when doing so, to measure and write down what I am putting into my meal/treat… otherwise how will you nice people get to try it out at home!
I also have been thinking that if one day I did open a bakery I know it wil definitely be called aldana’s amore cotto (which means aldana’s baked love)
Cute yes Italian yes Delicious YES!!!
Maybe one day you will see my bakery on one of the streets of new york city!

Tony Rodio just let me in on a new way of blogging called tumblr- Its pretty awesome. Its simplistically beautiful and caters to the people who want to blog but don’t have the time to figure out how to make it look nice, or how to embed video, images, text, and audio without having to use separate third party sites.
Who the fuck wants to have to post all their pictures into flickr so you can post them into your blog?! I think its a major pain in the ass and not worth it - so I usually keep my pics and words separate- but not any more!!!!
I must say 2008 has began with a few themes- but the one that is sticking out the most lately is the drive that has come out of me this year to communicate- to get it all out there - create something to document my life, my surroundings, my thoughts and views, my videos, my music, and anything that is important to me. If all goes well for Tumblr then I may have this record of my life at this point in time many years down the road.
My kids will be able to read my blogs. Thats a crazy thought. I wonder how many people my age will actually have to try and remember their old passwords to remove myspaces and other internet diary type sites once they have kids who are old enough to smarten up and check out mommy’s blog about how she once spent the whole weekend doi …nevermind.
Shit.
